InterAct

Historical Overview

Founded in 1975, InterAct Public Safety Systems provides integrated multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional public safety and homeland security systems technology. The InterAct Connections Framework™ is the foundation upon which customized comprehensive public safety solutions are built and presently used by more than 2,000 government agencies and private enterprises globally.

M Group was contracted in early 2009 to raise brand awareness of InterAct’s public safety products to three audiences — existing and potential customers (government, public safety agencies and E9-1-1 boards), policy makers (E9-1-1 legislation) and the general business and financial community for potential capital raises. Additionally, we were contracted to handle all crisis work as it relates to customer implementations and the impact to the local community.

Our work with InterAct broadened in 2009 to include representation of the e911 Institute, whose sole mission is to support the Congressional E9-1-1 Caucus and assist in promoting public education on E9-1-1 and emergency communications initiatives.

Communications contributed to InterAct’s corporate growth as they are now the largest privately held, public safety technology company that helps shape legislative policy and public awareness of E-9-1-1. We accomplished this through aggressive media relations, issues-based commentary and heightened participation at industry events; as well as coordination with lobbying groups to influence the E9-1-1 Caucus and help management stay abreast of legislative policies, both past and upcoming, as well as government funding (for customers).
